The West End’s Funniest Farce
The Play That Goes Wrong had its premiere at the Old Red Lion Theatre in London in 2012, later moving to Trafalgar Studios in 2013. Subsequently, it made its home at the Duchess Theatre in the West End starting on September 14, 2014, where it has held the record as the longest-running play at the theatre since its opening in 1929. Since 2014, the play has embarked on five tours across the UK.
Penned by the fictional playwright Susie H.K. Brideswell, The Murder at Haversham Manor quickly transforms into a theatrical disaster. Audiences catch a glimpse of backstage personnel scrambling to make last-minute fixes to the set, but fate has a different plan in mind as a series of mishaps unfolds one after the other.
The Play That Goes Wrong in London is one of the West End’s longest-running comedies! Be prepared to burst into fits of laughter as everything that can possibly go wrong does! This hilarious production awarded the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong, continues to deliver the same farcical and comedic brilliance it always has over a decade later.
